<![CDATA[Do scratch cards expire in the UK? Found an old one under the sofa]]>Cleaning out the living room today and found a £5 scratch card wedged right under the sofa cushions. No idea how long it's been there - could be months! Before I get my hopes up and scratch it, do scratch cards expire in the UK? Don't want to waste my time if it's just going to be worthless paper at this point.

Anyone know the official rules on this? Cheers!

I once lost a £50 winner to expiry. Found it in my car's glove box 8 months later. Not as bad as @james_uk but still stung. Now I photograph all my scratch cards with timestamps - bit obsessive but it works!

@james_uk Seriously though, what game is it? Some of the best scratch cards uk wise are the crossword ones - they tend to have better odds. The £5 ones usually have decent RTPs around 60-70%.

Check the back of the card - should have an expiry date printed on it somewhere.
