I won £200 and they're making it hard to withdraw]]>Right, so I've been using Lottoland for a few months now and finally hit a decent win of £200 on one of their scratch cards. But now they're asking for all sorts of documents and it's been 3 weeks since I requested the withdrawal.

I've seen mixed lottoland uk reviews online and I'm starting to worry this might be a scam. Anyone else had issues with them? Are they actually regulated here?

Really kicking myself for not sticking to the National Lottery now...

Expected value of escalation = (W × S) - (hourly_wage × T)

For smaller amounts, most people calculate it's not worth the hassle. That's exactly what these operators count on. It's a form of statistical theft - they know X% of people will give up, so they can effectively reduce their payout obligations by X%.

For what it's worth, their scratch cards have decent RTP (around 95%) but the withdrawal experience is designed to be painful.

If p = probability of winning the actual lottery, and b = bookmaker's margin, then your expected return = p × (1-b) × prize_amount - stake

For EuroMillions: p ≈ 1/139,838,160, so even with their "same odds" claim, they're taking a cut somewhere. The house edge is built into the payout structure or withdrawal terms.

Stick to actual lotteries or proper UKGC casinos like Bet365.
