The mobile experience is where the real revolution happened. Playing Gonzo's Quest on my phone in 2015 was clunky as hell. Now the apps are smoother than desktop.

BetVictor's app is probably the best - fast loading, never crashes, and cashouts process quicker than their website. Technology has definitely improved the user experience, even if the odds haven't!

    • RE: UK online casino reviews - how much weight should you give Trustpilot scores?

@slotqueen_uk Spot on with that table. Though I'd bump AskGamblers down to 4/10 for trustworthiness - they're basically affiliate marketers pretending to be impartial.

Anyone else noticed how Paddy Power has awful Trustpilot reviews but never seems to have major issues reported elsewhere? Makes you think...

    • RE: Best car raffles UK - BOTB vs others, where do you actually stand a chance?

Been following this thread and did some digging on botb reviews uk. Found loads of complaints about 'technical issues' whenever people get close to winning. Coincidence? I think not.

Also noticed they change their terms and conditions more often than I change my socks. Red flag central.

    • RE: Nine Casino UK review - new site, anyone actually tried it?

@bonushunter1 The chat wait times are ridiculous. I suspect they're understaffed because they're new. Classic startup mentality - throw money at marketing but skimp on customer service infrastructure.

    • RE: Yukon Gold Casino review - UK players, is it worth signing up or a waste of time?

Anyone else find it ironic that we're all scrambling for non-UKGC alternatives when the whole point of regulation was supposedly to protect us? Now we're back to playing on sites with Maltese licenses like it's 2010 again.

That said, my yukon gold casino review would be: solid 6/10. Does what it says on the tin, nothing more.

    • RE: How to pick lottery numbers in the UK - random vs patterns, what do you do?

@casino_dan Brilliant point about the prize sharing! Never thought of that angle.

I've been tracking the frequency of drawn numbers for about 2 years now (yes, I know it's pointless but it's become a hobby). Some numbers do come up more often, but the sample size is nowhere near big enough to be statistically significant.

Currently playing Thunderball mostly - much better odds than the main draw.

    • RE: How to win on scratch cards UK - I asked 50 people and here's what they actually do

This is like watching a nature documentary about human gambling behavior. Fascinating and slightly depressing at the same time.

@slotqueen_uk That variation in hit rates is interesting though. Could retailers be cherry-picking better stock somehow? Or are we just seeing randomness that looks like patterns?

    • RE: How to bonus buy on UK slots - is it ever a good investment or just burning money faster?

@slotqueen_uk That table is gold, thanks! Notice how the sites with tighter responsible gambling controls block it entirely? Makes you think about the addiction potential.

    • RE: How to win the UK lottery - is it all luck or are there any legitimate strategies?

Here's my comparison of different lottery strategies:

Strategy Cost per week Win probability Expected annual loss
      Single ticket £2 1 in 45m £98
      Lucky dip x5 £10 5 in 45m £490
      Syndicate (20 people) £10 100 in 45m £490
      Hot/cold numbers £2 1 in 45m £98

The syndicate gives you better chances but costs more. Everything else is just psychology.

    • RE: How to win at online slots UK - actual tips vs the rubbish you see on YouTube

Been following this thread with interest. Started playing Immortal Romance on Virgin Games after reading about RTP importance here.

243 ways to win, 96.86% RTP, and actually engaging bonus features. Much better than the random low-RTP slots I was playing before based on YouTube recommendations.

Small sample size but £25 has lasted me 3 sessions so far. Previously would be gone in 10 minutes!
