    • RE: I've been gambling online in the UK for 10 years - here's what's changed and my honest advice

Let's be real about withdrawal times though:

      Casino My Experience Fastest Slowest
      Bet365 2-4 hours 45 mins 6 hours
      Casumo 1-2 days 4 hours 3 days
      LeoVegas 6-12 hours 2 hours 24 hours
William Hill 2-3 days 8 hours 5 days
      888 Casino 3-5 days 1 day 7 days

This is based on 50+ withdrawals over 2023-2024. Your mileage may vary but Bet365 is consistently fastest.

    • RE: Best gambling sites UK overall - after all the regulation, which ones still offer real value?

@mike_bet Absolutely this. I've started keeping notes on customer service interactions because the quality varies so wildly, even within the same site depending on which agent you get.

BetVictor's been consistently good for support, though their game selection is a bit limited compared to the big players.

Completely agree about withdrawal times getting worse. Used to get same-day from Bet365, now it's 2-3 days minimum even for verified accounts. That said, they're still probably the best gambling site uk for overall reliability.

PlayOJO deserves a mention though - no wagering requirements on their bonuses, which is refreshing when everyone else is doing 40x+ multipliers on tiny amounts.

    • RE: UK online casino reviews - how much weight should you give Trustpilot scores?

Trustpilot is an absolute joke mate. Half the negative reviews are from punters who lost money and want to blame the casino, the other half are from people who don't understand basic verification processes.

I've seen people leave 1-star reviews because they couldn't withdraw £2000 without sending ID. Like, welcome to 2024 and AML regulations?

    • RE: Gaming websites UK - what separates the trustworthy ones from the dodgy operators?

@lucy_wins Great point! Public accountability forces better behavior. Much harder to ghost someone when thousands can see the complaint thread.

Speed of withdrawals tells you everything. Bet365 and LeoVegas usually sort me within 24 hours, while I've waited 2 weeks for £800 from Virgin Games. Same license, completely different service levels.

    • RE: Low deposit casinos UK - which let you play with £5 or less and still get a decent bonus?

Don't forget about withdrawal minimums though! I learned this the hard way - deposited £5 at Casumo, ran it up to £23, then discovered they have a £20 minimum withdrawal.

Managed to lose those extra £3 trying to get over the threshold. Sometimes these low deposit casinos get you with the backend restrictions.

    • RE: Best online casino review sites UK - which ones aren't just promoting paid partners?

Mate, you've hit the nail on the head. Most review sites are complete rubbish. I've been keeping my own spreadsheet of actual withdrawal times:

      Bet365: Usually 2-3 hours to e-wallets
      PlayOJO: 24-48 hours but reliable
Virgin Games: 1-3 days, customer service is shocking
LeoVegas: Used to be great, now 3-5 days minimum

The problem is these "reviewers" never actually play at these places. They just copy marketing material and collect affiliate cash.

    • RE: Best car raffles UK - BOTB vs others, where do you actually stand a chance?

Here's a comparison of what I've found researching the best car raffles uk:

Site Entry Cost Transparency Guaranteed Winner Regulation
      BOTB £0.99-£4.99 Poor No None
      Omaze £10-£25 Good Yes Regulated
Raffall £2-£15 Fair Yes Some oversight
Charity raffles £5-£20 Excellent Yes Gambling Commission

OMaze is looking decent tbh. At least someone definitely wins the car.

    • RE: BOTB reviews UK - is it worth entering car raffles or just a money sink?

My mate's cousin apparently won a Mini from them two years ago, but I've never seen actual proof. It's always 'friend of a friend' stories with these things.

Meanwhile I had a £2,400 withdrawal from Mr Green last month and it was in my bank within 6 hours. Much prefer knowing exactly where I stand.
