@bonushunter1 Perfect table. I'd add that most non-Gamstop sites use Curacao licensing which is basically worthless. Tried to raise a complaint with them about 1Red Casino keeping my £800 - they never even replied.

Wait, so if these sites are operating illegally, why don't the authorities just shut them down? Seems like they're openly advertising on Google and social media.

          The enforcement complexity follows this pattern: Shutdown_Effectiveness = (Jurisdictional_Authority × Technical_Capability) / (Regulatory_Arbitrage × Market_Demand). Where Jurisdictional_Authority ≈ 0.3 (limited cross-border powers), Technical_Capability = 0.6, Regulatory_Arbitrage = 0.9 (easy to relocate), and Market_Demand = 0.8.

          Result: Shutdown_Effectiveness = (0.3 × 0.6) / (0.9 × 0.8) = 0.25 or 25%. That's why they keep popping up faster than we can shut them down.

@newbie_casino They do try. UKGC issues cease and desist orders but these sites just change domain names. Mystake became Mystake1, then Mystake2, etc. It's whack-a-mole regulation.

The philosophical question here is whether we have the right to make bad decisions. If I want to gamble away my mortgage on Dog House Megaways at some dodgy Curacao casino, should the state stop me? Part of me says yes to Gamstop, part of me rebels against the nanny state.

@poker_pete_uk The state isn't stopping you though, it's protecting you from yourself at your own request. You literally signed up for Gamstop. These sites are exploiting vulnerable people who asked for help.

Had this exact dilemma 18 months ago. Ended up losing £2,400 at Britsino playing Evolution's Lightning Roulette. Money I'd saved for my daughter's uni fees. The "legal but unethical" distinction means nothing when you're explaining to your family why the money's gone.

@ukgambler99 You asked for a straight answer, here it is: No, you won't go to prison. Yes, you'll probably lose your money. Yes, you'll feel worse about your gambling problem. No, it's not worth it. The house edge doesn't care about your exclusion status.

The real kicker is that most of these uk gambling sites not on gamstop have worse RTPs anyway. Played Gates of Olympus at Harry Casino - felt like 94% instead of the usual 96.50%. Never could verify it though, no transparency requirements.

@slots_steve That's the thing nobody talks about! These sites can set whatever RTP they want. At least with Bet365 or Casumo you know the games are properly audited. It's like buying medicine from a back-alley dealer vs Boots.
