Best online casino games overall UK - slots, blackjack, roulette: which has the best RTP?
-
Here's a proper comparison based on my VIP experience at multiple sites:
Game Type Average RTP Variance Max Win Potential Skill Factor Slots 96.2% High 50,000x+ None Blackjack 99.4% Low 2:1 (3:2 BJ) High European Roulette 97.3% Medium 35:1 None Baccarat 98.9% Low 1:1 Minimal Baccarat is criminally underrated in these discussions. Almost as good as blackjack with zero skill required.
-
@vip_player_uk Decent table but you're being generous with that 96.2% slots average. Most of the popular games at UK sites are closer to 95%. And baccarat is mind-numbingly boring - might as well watch paint dry.
-
Why limit ourselves to house games? Poker has 100% RTP minus rake if you're better than your opponents. PokerStars Casino also has excellent blackjack for when I need a break from the grind.
-
All this RTP talk is meaningless if you can't actually withdraw your winnings. I stick to the big names like Bet365 and 888 Casino for reliability. Had £1,800 stuck in 'processing' at a smaller site for 3 weeks once.
-
The philosophical question here is whether you're gambling to win money or to experience the thrill of possibility. If it's pure profit maximisation, don't gamble at all - put your money in an ISA. If it's entertainment, play whatever makes you happy and don't obsess over RTP percentages.
-
@ukgambler99 That's a cop-out answer though. The question was specifically about which games offer the best RTP, not whether gambling is a good investment strategy. Within the context of gambling entertainment, it still makes sense to choose the option that loses your money slowest.

Been playing best online roulette uk sites for years and I have to say the live dealer games feel much more trustworthy than RNG versions. Something about watching that physical wheel spin at Evolution's studios makes me feel like the odds are actually what they claim to be.
-
Update on my earlier comment - that Gates of Olympus win turned into a proper session and I gave back £800 of it chasing another bonus. Maybe there's something to this steady blackjack approach after all... but where's the excitement in that?
-
@slotqueen_uk The house always wins in the end, that's why they can afford those fancy offices in Gibraltar. At least with blackjack you're losing money slowly enough to enjoy a few drinks while doing it. Slots just hoover up your balance in minutes.

Interesting revival of this thread. Think I'm convinced that blackjack is mathematically superior, but @mobile_gambler's point about entertainment value still stands. Might split my sessions - blackjack for steady play, slots for the occasional thrill-seeking.
