Looking for decent uk sports betting sites not on gamstop for the upcoming Premier League season. My Gamstop expires in 8 months but fancy a punt on some matches. Heard mixed things about non-UK licensed sites - some have terrible odds, others don't pay out properly.

Anyone tried any sports betting sites not on gamstop uk that actually offer competitive football markets? Particularly interested in live betting and cash out options. Don't want to get stung with poor exchange rates or dodgy withdrawal processes.

Been using Mystake for about 6 months now. Their football markets are actually pretty decent - odds comparable to what you'd get on Bet365 for most Premier League games. Withdrew £340 last month, took 3 days to my Revolut card.

Only downside is their live betting interface is a bit clunky compared to the big UK sites. But for pre-match accumulators, it does the job.

@ukgambler99 How are their Champions League markets? That's where I do most of my betting. Also, did you have any issues with verification? Heard some horror stories about document requests taking weeks.

The mathematics of finding value in non-Gamstop sites is fascinating. If we consider the Kelly Criterion: f* = (bp - q) / b, where f* is the fraction of bankroll to bet, b is the odds received, p is probability of winning, and q is probability of losing.

            For a bet with 60% win probability at 2.1 odds: f* = (2.1×0.6 - 0.4) / 2.1 = (1.26 - 0.4) / 2.1 = 0.86 / 2.1 ≈ 0.41 or 41% of bankroll.

The problem with many non-UK sites is they often have inflated margins, reducing the effective 'b' value and making profitable betting much harder mathematically.

Tried Stake about a year ago. Absolute nightmare experience. Their football odds looked decent on the surface, but when City scored an equalizer against United, they took 15 minutes to settle my over 2.5 goals bet. By then, the next goal had gone in and they tried to claim my bet was void.

Customer service was basically non-existent - just chatbots giving generic responses. Ended up disputing £180 through my bank.

@sarah_g That's exactly why I stick to the regulated sites, even with Gamstop restrictions. The FCA protection isn't just marketing fluff - when William Hill or Paddy Power mess up, you've got proper recourse.

These offshore sites might offer flashier bonuses, but what's the point if they don't honor winning bets?

@casino_dan I get the safety argument, but I'm not talking about dodgy operators here. Some of these sites are licensed in Curacao or Malta - they're not completely unregulated cowboys.

Just wondering if anyone's found a sweet spot between decent odds and reliability for football betting specifically.

GoldenBet has been solid for me. Used them throughout the World Cup and Euros. Their Asian handicap markets for football are actually better than most UK sites I've used.

Withdrawals: £450 in December (2 days), £670 in March (same day!), £290 last week (3 days). All to Monzo, no questions asked after initial verification.

Here's my experience with different non-Gamstop sports sites:

Site Football Odds Live Betting Withdrawal Speed Customer Support
                      Mystake 7/10 6/10 8/10 5/10
                      GoldenBet 8/10 8/10 9/10 7/10
                      Stake 6/10 4/10 3/10 2/10
                      Donbet 7/10 7/10 6/10 6/10

GoldenBet wins for me, though their bonus terms are pretty restrictive.

@tom_slots That's a helpful breakdown! What's your sample size though? One bad withdrawal experience can skew perceptions massively.

Also curious about their in-play markets. Do any of them offer the weird bets like 'next player to be booked' or 'time of first corner'? That's where I make most of my profit.

The existential question here isn't really about which site to choose, but why we're all circumventing a system designed to protect us. Gamstop exists because we couldn't control ourselves, yet here we are, collectively plotting ways around it.

It's like an alcoholic asking which speakeasy serves the best whiskey during Prohibition. The irony is palpable.

The mathematical beauty of arbitrage betting becomes even more complex when factoring in currency conversion rates and withdrawal fees. Consider this optimization problem:

                            Maximize: Σ(Pi × Oi) - Σ(Wi × Ci × Ei) - Σ(Fi)
                            Subject to: Σ(Pi/Oi) < 1 and Pi > 0

Where Pi = stake on outcome i, Oi = odds, Wi = withdrawal amount, Ci = conversion rate, Ei = exchange fee %, Fi = fixed fees.

Non-Gamstop sites often have hidden variables in the Ci and Fi terms that kill profitability even when the core arbitrage math works perfectly.

@mike_bet Champions League markets on Mystake are decent actually. Lots of player prop bets too. Verification took about 5 days for me, but I've heard it varies wildly.

@roulette_rob Bit preachy mate. Some of us are on Gamstop for casino games but perfectly capable of betting responsibly on football. Different beasts entirely.

Cosmobet deserves a mention here. Their football accumulator insurance is actually better than what Ladbrokes offers - get one leg wrong in a 5+ fold and they refund up to £25.

Used them for the entire Championship season. Withdrew £890 in April, took exactly 24 hours to hit my Starling account. No messing about.

@vip_player_uk How's their mobile app? Half these sites have desktop versions from 2015 and mobile apps that crash every five minutes.

Trying to place a live bet while watching at the pub and having the app freeze is beyond frustrating.

The cruel irony is that while we're all debating the merits of various non-Gamstop sites, the bookmakers we're trying to avoid are probably the most sophisticated risk management operations on the planet.

They've got teams of PhD mathematicians calculating our exact lifetime value while we argue about whether a 3-day withdrawal is acceptable. We're bringing knives to a gunfight and complaining about the blade quality.

@poker_pete_uk True, but that's always been the case. The house edge exists everywhere. At least with football there's genuine skill involved in reading form, injuries, tactical setups.

I'm not looking to get rich here - just want somewhere reliable to have the occasional punt without jumping through Gamstop hoops.

Velobet's worth a shout for football. Their corner betting markets are extensive - you can bet on exact corner counts, corner handicaps, even which half will have more corners.

Withdrew £520 last month via bank transfer. Took 4 working days but no fees on their end. Customer service actually speaks English too, unlike some sites where you're clearly talking to Google Translate.

The probability theory behind successful sports betting follows a complex Poisson distribution model. For football specifically:

                                          P(X = k) = (λ^k × e^-λ) / k!

Where λ represents the average goals per game. But here's the kicker - you need to calculate separate λ values for home/away, current form, head-to-head records, and about 20 other variables.

Most punters think they're applying skill when they're actually just experiencing selective memory bias with their wins and losses.

@betting_pro Been following this thread with interest. Ended up trying GoldenBet based on the recommendations here.

First impressions: Clean interface, decent live streaming for some matches, and their build-a-bet feature actually works properly (unlike Sky Bet which crashes half the time).

Placed a £50 accumulator on weekend fixtures. We'll see how withdrawals go if it comes in!
